Wedding Photography FAQ

How do you describe your style of wedding photography?

We aim to capture your love story in an honest, relaxed and timeless way. Our style consists of simple and elegant compositions, nothing cheesy! We ensure we use the latest editing software to edit your wedding photos to make them as perfect as can be. We aim to use classic photographic techniques rather than jump on the latest trend which will come and go.

Have we shot at your venue before?

We have shot at hundreds of venues, so there is a good chance that we have. Take a moment to check out and see if we’ve already shot at your venue on our Wedding Venue Guide, we put together this guide using our knowledge and experience as London Wedding Photographers to showcase previous locations we have photographed at, highlighting how much potential each venue has.

However, if we have not, we will arrive at the venue early on the day of your wedding or if I have a chance beforehand and be sure to perform a thorough walk-through to scout out the best photography locations. Having this time to scope out the venue and become familiar with the venue is crucial so that I am able to get the best potential out of both photography and videography. We also do extensive online research prior to your big day!

Do we offer Pre-Wedding Photoshoots?

Yes, we believe a Pre-Wedding Photoshoot is an invaluable opportunity for us to get to know each other and for you to become familiar with my team and I. It gives you the chance to become comfortable in front of the camera and figure out some of your prefer

Are you insured?

Yes, absolutely! We have full public liability and professional indemnity insurance as you would expect from any professional wedding photographer. If your venue requires proof then we would be happy to email them a copy for their records.

How do I make a booking?

Please contact us to check availability for your dates and we can arrange a consultation, and schedule a Zoom Call so we can discuss all your wedding details! This can be done by filling in the form on our Contact page.

A non-refundable booking fee of 50% is payable at the time of booking and signing this contract.  Once the fee has been cleared, that secures in your wedding date and the remaining balance will be due one calendar month before the event date.

Please remember - we operate on a first come - first served basis.

Do you offer services for destination weddings?

We travel both nationally in the UK and internationally for weddings. Special arrangements and costs can be discussed and agreed upon for specific travel requirements away from London or for international assignments.

What are your fees and are they flexible?

We offer bespoke packages from £1,600. Each package has some flexibility to allow us to customise it to suit your needs, for example, certain items can be swapped for others to give you the freedom to receive the coverage and finished products that you want.

Will you stay if we decide we need you longer than the contracted time?

Once you have booked us, we are yours for the entire day. The hourly rate and terms will be outlined in your contract and will be invoiced after the wedding.

Who will shoot our wedding?

Ankit is the main photographer and has a second photographer/assistant for big weddings! We also have a team of associate photographers and videographers that we can call on to build a larger team if needed.

If Ankit is already booked on your date he will arrange for one of his team members to cover your event subject to your approval before taking on the contract of course.

What if Ankit is unwell or unable to attend on the day?

In the highly unlikely event that Ankit cannot attend the wedding, we have a large network of associate photographers that we can call on to step in, subject to your approval of course.

I have downtime between events on my wedding day. Will I be charged for that downtime?

For a variety of reasons, we have to charge for the time between events. The fact is, we’re never truly resting during the day, whether we’re backing up images, setting up for the second venue, travelling to the second location, taking venue shots, or making up for lost photo time because of unforeseen wedding day delays. In many cases, we use that “downtime” to take you and your significant other out for a photo session or more family portraits.

What camera do you use?

We use top-of-the-range professional Nikon and Sony lenses and cameras. We are totally obsessed with making sure we have multiple backup equipment to ensure your day is never affected by any technical failure. We carry a backup camera in case of a drop or somehow one of us has managed to break our main camera during the course of your wedding day.

Do you back up our images? How can we ensure that our images won’t be lost?

We have never lost an image from a wedding due to the following backup workflow for each of our events:
During the event, we shoot on two cards at the same time. This instantly creates a backup of every image in the camera. Afterwards, we separate the primary cards from the backup cards, should anything happen to one set. We then back up the images to a local server set up in a RAID 1 configuration, as well as copy them to an offsite hard drive. At any given point before delivery of the images, there are two copies of the files in separate locations.

We have invested heavily to ensure that even if our equipment fails, our commitment to you will not.

Do we require a long list of photos that you want?

The only images we need you to specify are the family shots. We will send you a wedding detail sheet to complete so we have a good understanding of your day and your expectations.

Shall we provide you with meals on the day?

Most clients provide us with meals when everyone else is eating.  Some couples prefer to sit us in the same room as all the guests so that we are present and can take pictures in case anything happens.  We eat very quickly so that we will not miss anything important!

How many photographs will I receive?

It’s very difficult to give an exact number since the number of photographs taken depends on many things – the number of guests, hours of coverage, and any planned events. On average I have found the number is around 1500 for a full-day wedding but please know that the final number will vary depending on the day.

How long after the wedding until we can view our images and how?

You will receive all images through a password-protected online gallery within 8 weeks of your final event. You will also receive guest login details so you can share your best images with your family & friends. You will be able to download high-resolution files straight from your gallery as many times as you like.

Do you retouch the pictures?

Every image gets scrutinised for colour and exposure by Ankit personally and nothing is outsourced.

All images in your album are retouched by Ankit, however, retouching any additional images can be carried out upon request and may incur an additional fee.

Can I print and share our wedding photos on social media?

Yes, absolutely. Your wedding photographs will come with a full personal use license. This means you are free to print, email & share your photographs with friends & family. Unlike some wedding photographers, I do not demand you use watermarked images on social media. You can even allow your friends and family to download images straight through your online gallery.
